Elisavietta Ritchie's Flying Time: Stories & Half-Stories includes four PEN Syndicated Fiction Project winners. Tightening the Circle Over Eel Country won the 1975-76 Great Lakes Colleges Association's "New Writer's Prize for Best First Book of Poetry", and Raking the Snow won the 1981 Washington Writer's Publishing House competition. Editor of The Dolphin's Arc: Poems on Endangered Creatures of the Sea and other books, she has read at the Library of Congress and many other venues in the U.S., Brazil, the Far East, the Balkans, and Canada. She lives in Washington, D.C. and Toronto.
