Gwen Straus, who writes both fiction and poetry, was born in Haiti. Her book of fairy-tale poems, Trail of Stones, with illustrations by Anthony Browne, was published in 1989. Her work has also appeared in Frank and The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror.
