Gregory Orr was born in Albany, New York, and now lives in Charlottesville where he teaches at the University of Virginia. The most recent of his seven volumes of poetry are The Caged Owl: New and Selected Poems (2002), City of Salt (1995), and New and Selected Poems (1988).
