Galway Kinnel was born in Providence, Rhode Isnald. His numerous volumes of poetry include A New Selected Poems (2000), Imperfect Thirst (1994), When One Has Lived a Long Time Alone (1990) and Selected Poems (1980), which won the Pulitzer Prize.
