Elaine Equi has published several books of poetry including Surface Tension (1990); Decoy (1994); Voice-Over (1999), winner of the San Francisco State Poetry Award; and The Cloud of Knowable Things (2003). A Chicago native, she now lives in Manhattan and teaches at New York University and in the graduate program at City College.
