Miguel Serrano was born in Chile in 1937, into a family of diplomats and writers. For nine years he served as Chilean ambassador to India. Since leaving India he has served as ambassador to Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Rumania, and Austria. He now lives in Switzerland. He is the author of The Serpent of Paradise, The Ultimate Flower, The Visits of the Queen of Sheba, and C. G. Jung and Hermann Hesse: A Record of Two Friendships.
