Jerome Rothenberg was born in New York City in 1929. He is the author of more then a dozen books of poetry, several books of translations, and four major anthologies. His books of poetry include Poems for the Game of Silence, and Poland / 1931. His anthologies include Technicians of the Sacred, Shaking the Pumpkin, and America, A Prophecy.
