Chrisopher Priest (b.1943) is a British author whose work often defies easy categorization but touches on many genres including science-fiction, psychological thriller, historical drama and horror. Since his first published novel, Indoctrinaire (1970), he has received many awards including BSFA Awards for Inverted World, The Extremes and The Prestige.
