James Herriot is the pseudonym of James Alfred Wight (1916-1995). He has written countless books of heartwarming anecdotes about his time as a rural veterinarian. Although all his stories follow the same formula (as if you were sitting in his country kitchen by the wood stove, hearing his tales over a cup of tea), they are all equally endearing and entertaining.
