A fantasy novelist and folk musician, Emma Bull has been one of the genre's less well-known readers; her works are fabulously received by those who read them, however. Her debut novel, War for the Oaks, is also her most famous; she seamlessly integrates the fantastic (in this case, the fae) into the modern world. She is married to the writer Will Shetterly, and is part of the duo known as The Flash Girls.
