Waugh is well known for his police procedurals, including Last Seen Wearing..., which forever changed the genre. Hillary Waugh was named Grand Master of the Mystery Novel in 1989 and has authored several books on mystery writing, including Hillary Waugh's Guide to Mysteries & Mystery Writing, which was nominated for the Edgar award.
