Elliott O'Donnell (1872-1968) was descended from one of the oldest and most honoured families in Ireland. It is not surprising, therefore, that he should have devoted his life to exploring and explaining the many facets of Irish ghost and legend lore. The subject matter of his many books ranges from poltergeists and phantoms to vampires, werewolves and even secret societies.
