Laura Anne Gilman made her first professional fiction sale in 1997, to Amazing Stories. Since then, she has sold over twenty-five short stories, written three nonfiction books for teenagers and young-adults. Arthurian fantasy trilogy for HarperChilderns and edited two anthologies (OtherWere And Treachery and Treason). She also runs d.y.m.k. productions, an editoral services firm.
