R Chetwynd-Hayes has been a full time writer since 1973 and has written a number of novels and collections. He has also novelized two films based on his work.
In 1989 he was awarded the Bram Stoker Award for lifetime achievement by the Horror Writers of America and the British Fantasy Award by the British Fantasy Society.
