Biography:
(1926-2001) Gifted and humorous storyteller, author of many Science Fiction and Fantasy novels and short stories, as well as a number of mainstream fiction works.
His extremely long and distinguished career started in the early ‘50’s with short stories that appeared in some Sci-Fi magazines. He continued to publish works up until 1994, with reprints of his works appearing frequently. His unique perspective was born of an equal understanding of science and a love of mythology and history.
Among his numerous awards for writing are eight Hugo awards, three Nebula awards, and one Gandalf Grand Master award. He was also a member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame and winner of the Science Fiction Writers' Association's prestigious Grandmaster Award. Provided Introduction to:
