Biography:

Elizabeth Hall Boyer grew up in Idaho. She wrote most of her works during the years 1981-1995 while a resident of a small, historic, copper-mining town in Utah. Inspired by a love of Tolkien from her teenage reading years, she attended Brigham Young University in Provo to study English literature and writing, as well as Scandanavian mythology, which she often drew on as sources for her fantasy plots. Her ouvre comprises 11 fantasy novels (in three series), and about 7 published short stories, most of which also fit into the three fantasy series. "Betty" Boyer enjoys classical music, gardening, horses, cats, and traveling with her husband, Allan, and two daughters. She relocated to the outskirts of Atlanta in the late 1990s, where she is now content to attend to her small farm.
