Walter Dean Myers is the author is many highly praised books for young adults, among them "Motown and Didi: A Love Story;" and "The Young Landlords," both winners of the Coretta Scott King Award; "The Legend of Tarik;" and "Fast Sam, Cool Clyde & Stuff." Myers' travels have taken him to the Far East, South America, and the Artic. He presently lives in Jersey City, NJ. He is a member of the Harlem Writers Guild.
