Biography:
Rosemary Sutcliff (U.K., 1920 - 1992) wrote dozens of historical novels for young readers, many set in Roman Britain, and several historical novels for adults as well. In 1992, shortly before her death, she was made a CBE (Commander of the British Empire) for her contributions to British literature.
