Before quitting her day job after the release of her first book in 1992, she analyzed financial systems and procedures for EDS. Her previous occupations--ranging from fine jewelry sales to military security--provide rich background for her stories. She graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Economics and Finance from The University of Texas at Dallas. Chancellor and her husband of 28 years live in Richardson, Texas.
