Guy Gavriel Kay was born in Canada, although he does most of his writing in Europe. He worked with Christopher Tolkien on J.R.R. Tolkien's great posthumous work, The Silmarillion. Since then he has written seven worldwide bestselling novels, and won the Prix Aurora Award. Kay lives in Toronto, Canada.
