Biography:
Theodore Tinsley (1894-1979) filled in for Walter Gibson as "Maxwell Grant" for twenty-six Shadow novels between 1936 and 1943. He wrote many stories under his own name for the Street and Smith detective magazines, including the Carrie Cashin detective stories (about a private eye who hired a man to front her Cash and Carry Detective Agency while she solved the cases posing as his secretary) which ran in 38 of the 50 issues of Crime Busters/Mystery Magazine.
