Edo van Belkom was the very first horror movie host of SCREAM, Canada's all-horror television channel. As a writer, he is the author of more than two hundred stories of horror, science fiction, fantasy, and mystery, which have appeared in a wide variety of publications including Storyteller, Truck News, Hot Blood 11, Year's Best Horror Stories, and Best American Erotica. In addition to winning the 1997 Stoker Award from the Horror Writers Association for the short story "Rat Food" (co-written with David Nickle), he also won the Aurora Award (Canada's top prize for speculative writing) in 1999 for the short story "Hockey's Night in Canada." Edo is the author and editor of more than twenty books, including the novels Teeth, Martyrs, and Blood Road, the story collections Death Drives a Semi and Sin-Inch Spikes, and the nonfiction books Northern Dreamers (a book of interviews with writers) and Writing Horror (a how-to). He lives in Brampton, Ontario, with his wife and son.
