Deborah Lerme Goodman has a BFA in weaving and a graduate degree in museum education. She began writing for children as an education coordinator at the Smithsonian Institution, where her books The Magic Shuttle and Bee Quilting were published. Ms. Goodman writes regularly for a magazine Fiberarts. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with her husband John; a loom; five bicycles; and more than a hundred rubber stamps.
