Oxford-born British writer Susan Moody is known, as a mystery writer, for the "Penny" series, featuring statuesque photog and amateur sleuth Penny Wanawake, daughter of the U.N. ambassador from Senegal (or someplace very much like it) and for the Bridge mysteries (Takeout Double, etc.) of Cassandra Swann. She has written at least one romance novel, as Susannah James, and two non-crime novels as Susan Madison.
