Charles Salzberg is a New York-based freelance writer whose work has appeared in "Esquire" "New York" magazine, "GQ" and the "New York Times." He has written numerous nonfiction books, including "From Set Shot to Slam Dunk," and "Soupy Sez: My Zany Life and Times." His previous novel, "Swann's Last Song," was nominated for a Shamus Award for Best First PI Novel. He has been a visiting professor at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University and now teaches writing at Writer's Voice and the New York Writers Workshop, where he is a founding member.
