For twenty-three years Carolyn Wheat lived in New York City, practiced law and wrote mystery stories. A few years ago she retired from the practice of law and began to travel. After spending some time in Boulder, Sonoma County, San Diego and Oklahoma (where she was artist-in-residence for two years at the University of Central Oklahoma) she settled in California, where she writes, constructs anthologies and conducts writing workshops.
