Biography:

Philip Tremont was born in Chicago, Illinois, and attended De Paul University and University of Chicago. His various occupations have included construction laborer, truck driver, bartender, newspaper reporter, salesman and personnel interviewer.

During World War II he served three years as a mortar man in the 511th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 11th Airborne Division in the Pacific and saw action in the invasions of Leyte and Luzon, and took part in the Japanese occupation.

He has written many short stories for magazines and is the co-author of the two bestselling Monarch books entitled The Glory Jumpers and Bloody Beaches: Marines Die Hard.
