Biography:
Cleveland writer Les Roberts (b. 1937) turned to mystery writing after a successful first career in television. For twenty-four years he wrote scripts for such series as The Andy Griffith Show and The Man From U.N.C.L.E.; he was producer and head writer of the original Hollywood Squares. Since 1987 his skilfully scripted novels have made him a household name in the world of detective fiction.
