Christine Crow, Ph.D., is Hon. Reader in French Literature at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Her previous works include critical studies of the French poet and thinker Paul Valéry. Her first novel, Miss X, or the Wolf Woman, appeared with the Women's Press in 1990 and her main poem is in Tea and Leg-Irons: New Feminist Readings from Scotland. She lives on the very edge of the sea in Anstruther, Fife, where she writes poetry, fiction, and paints full-time.
