Matthew De Abaitua was born in 1971, raised in Liverpool and lowered by London. In between he was nutured in York, twisted by Manchester and isolated in Suffolk. He co-edited The Idler's Companion published by Fourth Estate and has written for the Guardian, the Observer, and Esquire.
