Jeanne Braselton was born and raised in Georgia. While working as a journalist for the Rome News-Tribune, she won numerous Georgia Press Association and other statewide awards for reporting on education and issues affecting the elderly. In April 2000, she was chosen as one of ten Emerging Writers at Vanderbilt University's Millennial Gathering of the Writers of the New South. She currently lives in Rome, Georgia, with her husband, Al.
