Beverly Connor weaves her professional experiences as an archaeologist and her knowledge of Southern culture into interlinked stories of the past and present in her mystery series. She was formerly a research assistant in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Georgia, is a specialist in bone identification and analysis, lithic and pollen analysis, and field excavation. She has worked at numerous archaeological sites in the southeast and completed her work on the Doctor of Education degree. Originally from Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Connor now lives in Oglethorpe County, Georgia, with her husband, her dogs, her horse, and her cats.
