Andrew Gray's stories have appeared in Prairie Fire, Event, Grain, Fiddlehead, and Chatelaine. He was nominated for the Western Magazine Award (1999) and National Magazine Award for Fiction (1996/99) as well as being one of two finalists for the Journey Prize in 2000. Gray has twice been shortlisted for the CBC/Saturday Night Literary Award and has won second place in the Eden Mills' Fiction Contest. His poetry was runner-up for the Leacock Award in 1995. He is the founder and director of UBC's Booming Ground summer writing conference, is the former executive director of Prism international and currently teaches a course on small magazine publishing at UBC. He lives in Vancouver.
