Jeff Duntemann was born in Chicago in 1952, and has been a professional writer in both the fiction (SF) and nonfiction worlds since 1974. He has numerous technical books and hundreds of articles and columns to his credit, and has worked in technical publishing since 1985. He has published his ContraPositive Diary since mid-1998.
Jeff is a graduate of the Clarion SF workshops (1973) and has attended numerous other informal writers' workshops around the country. His SF has always been of the "hard" variety, focusing on the future of technology, especially computing, AI, and space travel. Two of his short stories appeared on the final Hugo Awards ballot in 1981.
He is currently Editor at Large for Paraglyph Press, and lives with his wife Carol and bichon frise Quantum Bit (QBit) in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
