Todd has spent time in the military, is a licensed pilot and has been a software engineer living in Los Angeles. Tod took up writing full-time in 2002 and hasn't looked back. Dragonsblood is his first solo Pern novel. He is also the author of several books, including a Pern novel, Dragon's Kin, which he co-wrote with his mother, Anne.
