Selma Ottiliana Lovisa Lagerlöf (b. Nov. 20, 1858 - March 16, 1940, Mårbacka, Sweden) in 1909 became the first woman and also the first Swedish writer to win the Nobel Prize for Literature.
She is portrayed on the Swedish 20 SEK banknotes.
