After editing a series of "best of..." SF collections in the early 70s, Angus Wells turned to writing and produced a vast amount of westerns under 7 different pseudonyms, as well as film and TV tie-ins, thrillers and fantasies. In the late 80's he started writing epic fantasy under his own name after the UK western market declined. He died in April 2006.
