Biography:
Robert Graves, English poet, writer and scholar. Born 1895 in the well-to-do London suburb of Wimbledon, died 1985 in his home in the village of Deja in Majorca, España. Among Graves's best known works are his WWI-era autobiography, Goodbye to All That, and his grammar of myth, The White Goddess. In 1967 he published a literal translation (with Omar Ali Shah) of The Rubaiyya't of Omar Khayyam.
