Robert Van Taylor was born in Mena, Arkansas, and has been employed as a photographer, and advertising copywriter. He is presently an account executive in an advertising agency.

During World War II he served in the Pacific as a naval aviator and landing signal officer aboard the USS Bennington, CV20.

His hobbies include painting and a current interest in ham radio. He is the author of numerous short stories and novelettes in the crime-action field, and Frenzied is his first published full-length novel.
