Biography:

1861-1955
Sister of A. E. Housman and Laurence Housman.
British writer and wood engraver. Clemence Housman published only three novels, each of which is a Christian fantasy. The Were-Wolf (1895) is a minot classic of werewolf literature, while her final novel, The Life of Sir Aglovale de Galis (1905), remains her supreme acheivement. It is a remarkable psychological reconstruction of the life of Aglovale, a minor rogue knight in Sir Thomas Malory's Le Morte d'Arthur.
